News: Current Arab Image Foundation Residency

The jury members Akram Zaatari and Yasmine Eid-Sabbagh have selected Tayfun Serttas as the candidate for the second cycle of the Arab Image Foundation Residency Program.

During his residency at the Arab Image Foundation Tayfun Serttas will continue to work on his current research and exhibition project on Istanbul's studio photographer Marhan Sahinyan.

Tayfun Serttas (1982, in Turkey) is an artist, writer and social scientist living in Istanbul and Bodrum. His main subject areas are urban anthropology, gender and minorities, cultural heritage and migration. Serttas has exhibited his work internationally, including Centrum Sztuki Wspolczesnej (Warsaw, 2010), Galeri NON (Istanbul, 2009), Centre Pompidou (Paris, 2009) and Architekturmuseum (DAM Frankfurt, 2008). Stüdio Osep, edited by Tayfun Serttas, was published in 2009 by Aras.
